AirMouse comes straight out of Minority Report

Clearly, someone at Deanmark really enjoys Minority Report, or else they would have never come up with this glove interface that Tom Cruise was using in the opening sequence. The sensors are on the thumb, index finger, and middle finger, for crying out loud! Steven Spielberg might sue.

This AirMouse (not to be confused with the one that Logitech makes) is completely wireless, uses and optical laser, and can run for a week on a single charge. It is also very accurate, as it can align with the ligaments of a user’s hand and wrist.

Deanmark, a Canadian company, is planning to release the mouse this year for about $129. Too bad it doesn’t come with that cool and curvaceous transparent screen that Tom Cruise was using.

T-Mobile to offer free replacement on trackballs of certain BlackBerry models

blackberry_trackball_250x250I didn’t realize that there was any problem with the trackballs on certain BlackBerry models, but T-Mobile is offering a free service to replace the trackballs on the BlackBerry Pearl 8100, 8120, not to mention the BlackBerry Curve 8320.

The user has to be a T-Mobile customer in order to get this free replacement. I’m guessing you’re probably going to have to prove that when you go to the T-Mobile store to get it replaced. If you are in need of a replacement trackball on your T-Mobile, then wait until February 15th before heading to your nearest T-Mobile outlet. There is no word on when this free replacement service will expire, so I recommend getting it done as soon as possible.
